Yes, we changed our name from EUC-X to EUCdigest. It turned out that EUC-X was already taken (an unfortunate timing issue) and we were legally forced to come up with something else. Luckily we had EUCdigest as a backup, and to be honest, we like itโฆ A LOT! Perhaps better even.
With EUC-X being a foundation changing its name is, or was quite cumbersome, all in all it took way longer than anticipated. There were papers to be singed, places to physically visit, and so on. But, we managed and we are now branded EUCdigest. The logo stays, for now, but we are currently working on a new design.
In total we lost about a month and half time wise. Who knew there would be so much bureaucracy involved, itโs nuts. Anyway, we are well on our way, finally. The Microphones are in and the accompanying software is up and running as well – Test 1… 2… 3…
Future meetings have been planned (internally and externally), including a recording “date” for the first podcast, with more on the way. The team, which consists of Johan van Amersfoort, Kees Baggerman, Ingmar Verheij, Jits Langedijk, Eric van Klaveren and myself, Bas van Kaam is more motivated than ever and we are all looking forward to getting our hands dirty.

As a result we also changed our Twitter handle to @EUCdigest Scroll down to โThe (A) Teamโ section for an overview of the EUCdigest crew including their personal Twitter handles. Feel free to reach out.
Our To-Do list is getting shorter by the day. Next to the podcast weโve made some progress around our website as well. Though, more on this in a bit.
We just wanted you all to know that, even though weโve had a few minor setbacks (off course the vacation period didnโt help either) things are looking up and we will be broadcasting soon.
For those who missed the initial announcementโฆ
Plural
EUCdigest isnโt just one particular โthingโ itโs serves as an umbrella, or platform from which multiple โsideโ projects will be initiated. For example, one of our main pillars will be formed around a bi-weekly podcast.
Secondly, we are working on a EUC aggregation platform, which includes future plans to include background intelligence enabling us to serve our users/members with EUC content more tailored to their needs.
There have also been talks about a vendor neutral event, or multiple even, I mean, aim big or go home, right? No details as of yet but man, if we get this thing goingโฆ just wow, trust me.
Growth
Itโs still early days and we have a lot of work ahead of us but I know from personal experience (and so do all of my fellow community enthusiasts) that an idea born small can grow into something huge within a relatively short time-frame. Iโm confident this will happen here as well.
One of the (main) reasons why I think this is going to be a success is because of the team behind it, and after reading the next paragraph, Iโm sure you will to.
The (A) Team
EUCdigest is a (Dutch) Non-Profit Foundation, registered at the chamber of commerce in the Netherlands. Itโs Board members consist out of Eric van Klaveren, Jits Langedijk, and myself โ Bas van Kaam.
The EUCdigest advisory board and main Podcast crew consists out of Kees Baggerman, Johan van Amersfoort, and Ingmar Verheij. Of course, we might โchip-inโ from time to time as well. Need I say more?!
Combined we have a ton of knowledge and experience when it comes to organizing eventโs, podcasts, giving presentations, writing books and technical in-depth articles and much more, a true AโTeam
We’ll see you soon!
