Average time to read: 2 minutes

Just a short intro to let you all know how I like to approach things, nothing special. Most of my articles tend to be quite extensive. I havenโ€™t done the math, but if I would have to guess I think that most of the articles that I have written consist out ofย 2500 words an upwards, with a few exceptions here and there. Of course this doesnโ€™t bother me, since I like to write and dig in a bit deeper every now and again. I also havenโ€™t heard any complaints from you guys, so I guess Iโ€™m good.

However, writing articles containingย over 3 to 4000 words each can be quit time consuming. And it’s not just the writing, there’s research involved as well, the search for matching images, lab time, screenshots and every once in a while I like to throw in a home made Visio.ย All in all this can be an extensive process. And again I’d like to emphasise, that I donโ€™t mind the effort and work that goes into it, not at all, I just would like to produce a bit more content from time to time, this is where the -1000 series comes inโ€ฆ

The average amount

As youโ€™ve probably guessed by now, -1000 stands for the average amount of words that I will use in my futureย posts as part of this ‘new’ blog series. Relatively short but powerful none the less! Of course this doesnโ€™t mean that each post will contain exactly 1000 words, nope. Posts will range from anywhere between 300 to approximately a 1000 words. The general thought behind the concept is to create useful, yet easy to read or skim, blog posts while (hopefully) still providing an added value to the community. Short enough to read within a few minutes, but long enough to share certain technical details, insights or whatever thoughts that might be applicable.

Subjects may vary

Content will vary from general (product) announcements, event summaries, technical product details, general thoughts and insights, product reviews, to just a bunch of clickable links referring you to interesting content outside of basvankaam.com. It goes without saying that some of the topics discussed as part of the -1000 series may also find there way back onto my ‘normal’ blog in the form of a more extensive and detailed article. That’s all.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industrys standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown prmontserrat took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
